Granted, if you want to push the VRAM really hard you might want to get some copper or aluminum heatsinks for them - I didn't bother with them for my VRAM or VRM and can run my 1080 at 2202MHz on the GPU and 11114MHz on the VRAM (I definitely (finally) won the silicon lottery). Granted, I have to remove the mid-plate and sometimes the backplate to get it to fit properly depending on the card, but it works very well and can be moved from GPU to GPU as needed (unlike many custom waterblocks).
